KEEPING RESTAURANTS SAFE WITH MOBILE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

WHAT WE DID

In partnership with Active Food Safety, Tyrannosaurus Tech built a food safety mobile application called EmergiProtect that provides restaurant owners and managers with actionable steps to follow in a variety of food safety emergencies. The app empowers its users to quickly and easily access the right information to do what is best for their customers and their business.

Adapting to COVID-19

As the pandemic coronavirus crisis escalated in early 2020, Active Food Safety and Tyrannosaurus Tech moved quickly to update EmergiProtect, arming the food services industry with the tools needed to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

Through a sponsorship agreement with GOJO Inc., the makers of Purell, Active Food Safety with Tyrannosaurus Tech’s expertise added valuable content that restaurant owners and managers can use; to perform regular employee wellness checks for pandemic coronavirus signs and symptoms and to ensure proper disinfection for virus mitigation to protect customers and employees.

“I’m 100% satisfied with the work they’ve done. When we asked a question, we’d get an answer within 10 minutes. It’s incredible. They were always on time and actually delivered early about 99% of the time.”

Josh King, Director of Product & UX, Active Food Safety

Responding Rapidly

Food safety protocol changes often. To account for this, Tyrannosaurus Tech built a robust, easy to use CMS for the app so that non technical members of the Active Food Safety team can make updates as needed. These timely updates are critical to making EmergiProtect the most reliable source of truth out there.

Making Food Safety Information Accessible

Android vs. iPhone should not be a concern when it comes to accessing timely food safety information. Our team built EmergiProtect to be cross-platform at launch, ensuring that restaurant managers and staff are equipped to access actionable information regardless of the device they are using.
